The 9th Annual Boston Design Week will feature 60+ in-person, virtual, hybrid, and outdoor events citywide, including the annual Design Week Awards, Friday, May 6th. This 14-day design festival offers a variety of speakers, discussions, openings and more, open to the public and most free of charge. Programs include renowned guest speakers, panel discussions, exhibitions, behind-the-scenes tours, product introductions and more hosted by design-oriented businesses, showrooms, universities, museums, non-profit organizations, and professional societies. More than 110,000 people have attended Boston Design Week events over the years, and the festival receives more than 3 million media impressions each year.
With outdoor events in mind, the festival has been placed in mid-spring. This year’s theme “Boston Rethinks Design” puts a special emphasis on design that challenges conventional thinking, processes, or materials. All design-related fields are welcome to participate. All events are open to the public and most are free. The “Call for Events” is now open. Dowload the Participant Guide and get further details at https://www.bostondesignweek.com or call 617-363-0405.
